Bitmasters created the videogame Pool Champion. It's now available on Windows. It is about a pool player who must take the balls, place them in the correct positions, and hit them on the tables using the cues from his or her pool stick.
Two world-class players play in the game, Shane Van Boening & Thorsten Hohmann. They are both German players and are considered to some of the most skilled in the game. Both were defeated in matches.
Shane Van Boening was playing in last year's World Pool Championship when he realized his window of opportunity was closing. He had been enjoying the single-elimination portion of the tournament and wondered if he should quit. He quickly recovered. After trailing 7-6 in the first, he was able force the second set to a tiebreaker.

He has won many regional and national tournaments. He is also a member WPBA’s American Rotation National Championship. He is an established fixture in the New York straight pools scene for many decades.
He has played with many celebrities including Jason Gedrick, Paul Sorvino and others. He has also taught some the biggest names of pool.
He was only a teenager when the game was introduced to him, but he had won a junior state championship. He played in local events and joined the billiards club at the University of North Texas.
