The rules of dodgeball are simple and easy to learn. For instance, players need to protect themselves against direct headshots. A referee can also enforce these rules. These rules can be enforced if necessary by a referee. The game ends when a player is eliminated. This is traditionally a game that was played at camps or gyms. There are some rules that must be followed in competitive games, but dodgeball is a simple game that can be played in any setting. Selection of teams can be as easy as lining up, or as complicated as drafting players.

Protect your head from direct headshots

Players must take evasive measures to prevent a player getting a direct shot at their head. A direct headshot is defined as when the ball hits a player in the head directly, without any other contact. The ball should not have touched anything in the vicinity of the player's head before it hits them. However, the ball may deflect off the players' bodies or hands. The ball must remain in a straight position when it is hit. Any action that moves the player from this position will automatically negate the headshot.

In dodgeball, players must protect themselves from direct headshots. The ball that leaves the thrower’s hand and strikes a player in their head is considered a deadball. A direct headshot taken by a player while standing upright is considered safe. However, a player can be hit in their head while standing upright and will be called.

Dead balls

Dead balls refer to balls that aren’t used during a game. They are used in order to prevent multiple hits from the same object. A dodgeball game can be played on a small, rectangular court that has a centreline and two sidelines. The game is primarily self-refereed and governed by honour rules. The centerline is ruled by honour rules. However, there are four officials who serve as referees. They will confirm hits and count time until the ball is in the possession of each player. Each team begins with one ball. The two balls are placed in the center line of the court. Each team has a five-second grace period before releasing a ball.

A dodge ball is considered dead if it crosses the line of the boundary. This means that the player stepping on the border line of the opposing team's team is out. You must ensure that your ball is kept in the same place for at least ten seconds.

Unsportsmanlike conduct

All participants must follow the rules of dodgeball. Participants must wear shorts or shirts that don't have any sharp metal parts and must also not wear jewelry during dodgeball. A referee is required to be present throughout the game in order to keep the game going and to ensure that players are safe. Referees also have the responsibility of deciding on contested play. The calls made by the referees are final and cannot be appealed. Any player found breaking the rules will receive a warning. Depending on the severity of the violation, the referee can call a technical foul.

Participants who engage in dangerous throwing behaviors will be disqualified from the game. The referee will notify players who engage with dangerous throwing behavior. If they do, the ball will be handed over to the opposing side. Throws that are high or close to the head of an opponent player are considered dangerous throws. This offense will result in a player being ejected from the match and will prevent him/her from participating in any other games.

Overtime rules

Dodgeball is a game in which players try to catch a live football before it touches the ground. Players must stay within the court boundaries, and if a player steps outside of it, they are out of the game. Players are also out if they touch the ground across the center line, or if they attempt to kick the dodgeball. If there is a tie in the game, overtime can take place to determine the winner.

Each team may only retrieve three (3) balls in their right-hand corner of the center hash. All players must be at their target line before legal throws. In overtime, teams have a three-minute time limit, and the winning team will be the one with the most players.

Neutral zone

The neutral zone in dodgeball is the space around the court's centreline. The neutral zone in dodgeball refers to the area around the court's centerline. Players can enter this area and not be hit or stepped upon, but they are immediately out if they do. You can attack your opponent from the neutral zone with a variety offensive and defensive tactics, but you must not get hit or touched.

Two teams of six players play on the court. The property of each team is the ball. Within 10 seconds, the team that has the most balls must give it up. Both teams have two ball retrievers to collect off-court balls. For interfering in the ball collection or for stepping into neutral territory, ball retrievers can be sent off.
