Jimmy White is one of the most renowned snooker players in the world. Jimmy White was born in Balham, London. He has won 30 professional titles. He is well-known for his bold style and exceptional natural talent. His success has seen him rise to the top in the sport in many different countries.

He was an English World Cup team member in 1988. In 1979, he won the English Amateur Championship. He went on to win with Alex Higgins the World Doubles Championship. This has given him a reputation as both a sportsman, and as a funny after-dinner speaker. Apart from his skills at snooker, he is also an avid conservationist. As such, he has worked with award winning documentary teams and is an avid animal lover.

Jimmy White, who began his professional career at age eighteen, reached the final of the British Open. He was a highly successful player in his early career and remained within the top eight throughout his entire career. However, his fortunes began declining in the 1990s. While he could not replicate his past success, he has been able retain his spot in the main touring for another season.

Jimmy White became a household name as an underdog. A player with a flamboyant style and a ruthless streak, he fought for his place in the sport with an unflinching determination to succeed. He was a great player, especially during the 1999 world semifinal.


He didn't lose any frames in his first two qualifying matches. His next two tournaments saw him lose to Matthew Selt, Xiao Guodong, and Matthew Selt. Despite the setbacks, he continued to enjoy some good performances throughout the year.

He won three matches at full ranking events in the 2014/15 season. However, he lost to Barry Hawkins in the International Championship, ending his season in disappointment. Despite this, however, he placed in the top 8, just below the top 64 on main list.

The following season, Jimmy White became the youngest player to ever win the ranking event. He beat Mark Selby, Stephen Hendry, and David Morris throughout the tournament. He was able secure his spot in the top 64 professional ranks with his win.

It was the tournament where he became the second overall player to record a maximum break.
