A pool league has two teams and rules. The BCA (Billiards Congress of America), has many billiards guidelines to choose from. Some are more common than others. Most of the rules are fairly similar. To play in a league you will need to become familiar with its rules. There are many organizations across North America that offer competitive pool. There are actually many tournaments per year. The WPBA Tour, however, is the largest.

One of the many perks of being in a league is your ability to switch players. This is called a roster shift and is allowed until the tenth of each week. To get more information, you will need to speak to a league official. To do so, fill out a signup sheet with your contact information, email address, name and number. Once the roster is complete, you will have to pay the applicable dues. All payments are due at least one weeks in advance and will be accepted by credit card or check.

Another fun fact about a pool league is that there is a code of conduct that all players must follow. Players must be courteous and professional at all times. In the event that a player engages in disruptive behavior during a game, the entire match will be forfeited. A rule requires that all players report any misconducts to the BCA before they are allowed to attempt a shot. The BCA doesn't allow players to argue with officials during playoffs, but a well-intentioned player could still have a negative effect.

The rules of pool generally remain the same. You will find the most enjoyable format. It is possible that you will find the competition more intense than you want depending on how many people are involved. Also, be sure to select a rulebook that is appropriate for your level of play. APA is one league that's more accommodating, but you still need to know some of the rules.

Like all rules of pool, it is important not to go overboard. It is important to leave a lasting impression on your opponents. It is a good idea to give tips to new players when you introduce them to the sport. At the very least, you can mention to them that they are the first to call in infractions, and that they have to do so in a way that won't cause them to miss their next shot.
