The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open has reached its final phase and Shane Van Boening is still in the running for the title. American was the Predator World 10 ball Championship champion last year. Joshua Filler, World Pool and Billiards Association 9ball champion, will take on Filler in the final. Both men had managed to survive difficult draw conditions. Filler won the final round against Gerson Martnez of Peru, and Van Boening met Fedor Gorst from Russia. Filler was up to 6-2, while the Americans led the first phase matches.
Van Boening ranked first in the 64-player bracket. He had spent countless hours in Qatar practicing his break shot. He used this to easily beat his first four opponents. The combined score was 44-14. He beat Orcollo, and then went on to beat David Alcaide.
